Dr. Breckenridge’s approach at Brentwood Chiropractic is all about treating the whole person to enhance overall health and well-being. He specializes in a variety of techniques tailored to meet your specific needs, including gentle spinal and extra-spinal manipulation, Active Release Techniques (ART), sports rehabilitation and Athletic Taping and Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab (similar to Graston). Whether you’re dealing with chronic pain, recovering from an injury, or just looking to improve your everyday wellness, Dr. Breckenridge is dedicated to creating an effective, efficient, and personalized treatment plan that works for you.

Dr. Joanna Galasso
Originally from Alberta, Dr. Galasso graduated from the University of Calgary with her undergraduate degree and then furthered her education by attending the University of Saskatchewan to focus her research interests in toxicology, specifically in understanding the many ways in which biological, chemical, and physical hazards can impact one’s health. During this time, her research helped her discover the benefits of complementary medicine to help manage disease and illness.
Dr. Galasso graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and has been in practice since 2011. Over the years, Dr. Galasso has worked with a diverse patient population, helping them throughout all stages of their lives but has a clinical focus on pregnancy, infancy, adolescence, and the postpartum period.
Dr. Galasso has taken advanced training in pregnancy to be able to treat the unique aches and pains that accompany pregnancy to ensure your treatments are safe and effective, helping you to have a healthy and comfortable pregnancy. She maintains an up-to-date certification in Webster Technique to ensure her treatments remain evidence based and adhere to the high International Chiropractic Paediatric Association standards.
With a special interest in treating infants and children, Dr. Galasso continues to advance her skill set and knowledge to be able to offer the safest and most effective care for your little ones. She has advanced training in assessing and treating issues with infant oral function (tongue ties), torticollis and changes in head shapes to help little ones avoid helmets.
In addition to being a Family Chiropractor, Dr. Galasso is a DONA trained birth doula, studied midwifery at Ryerson University, holds a graduate certificate from the University of Alberta in Sexual Health in Rehabilitative Medicine, is a childbirth and lactation educator, is a pre- and post-natal yoga teacher, and is the only chiropractor in Alberta to be a certified ROST therapist for symphysis pubis dysfunction and pelvic girdle pain conditions. In these roles Dr. Galasso has had the privilege of supporting thousands of patients and their families during pregnancy, labour and the postpartum period. She draws on her experience and education to offer insightful and practical preparation suggestions for both the emotional and physiological experiences of pregnancy, labour and the fourth trimester, ensuring she provides a truly whole-person approach in the care she provides.
Dr. Galasso believes in providing families with body-positive, personalized care that respects and honours where each person is in their health journey. Her goal is to support patients so they can make informed decisions about their health that aligns with their own unique health vision. Dr. Galasso understands that patients are more than just a list of symptoms and will hold space for patients, so their voice is amplified in the development of a treatment plan that works towards achieving their health goals.

Armed with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta and a 2200-hour diploma from Vicars School of Massage Therapy, Tracy is proud to be part of the multidisciplinary team at Brentwood Chiropractic Clinic as a Registered Massage Therapist since 2024.
Tracy’s transition from the corporate world into healthcare was guided by a deep commitment to personal growth and the transformative power of self-care. Many clients begin their wellness journey feeling unsure of where to start. Tracy’s approach emphasizes empowerment through connection, creativity, and choice, supporting clients in building clarity, confidence, and trust in their bodies.
Known for her thoughtful, intentional care, Tracy completes thorough assessments and favors extended-duration treatments - with 90-minute sessions being her preferred way to allow meaningful change, deeper relaxation, and lasting therapeutic benefit. She has a particular interest in fascial massage, cupping, and conditions of the head, neck, and jaw, including posture-related tension, TMJ dysfunction, headaches, and migraines.

Dr. Kelsey Hardy
Dr. Kelsey Hardy is excited to return to central Alberta to help patients achieve their health and wellness goals. Originally from Stony Plain, Alberta she graduated from Memorial Composite High School.
After high school, she obtained her Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from the University of Alberta. While completing her studies she worked as a personal trainer, group fitness trainer and worked closely with the University wrestling team and health care staff as a student athletic therapist. Working with athletes and individuals of all ages and backgrounds sparked her interest into further pursuing patient care.
Dr. Kelsey then decided to move across the world to study chiropractic at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. Here she joined the student group World Congress of Chiropractic Students (WCCS) where she traveled to Johannesburg, South Africa and Brisbane, Australia for each Annual General Meeting. In her final year she was elected President of her university chapter.
Dr. Kelsey enjoys keeping active through sports such as soccer and exploring Alberta with her pup Brodie. She also enjoys a good cup of coffee and wine, recognizing there is a balance to life.
Using a multifaceted approach, Dr. Kelsey uses chiropractic techniques such as Diversified, Drop Piece and Activator. She is trained in SMART Tools (similar to Graston), Rock Tape, Active Release Technique (ART), exercise rehabilitation, soft tissue work and may incorporate these into her patients’ treatment.

Dr. Nikolas Helfrich
Dr. Nikolas Helfrich has a wholistic evidence-based approach to chiropractic care. He believes that patient care should be centered around the patient’s individualized goals and care needs. Dr. Nik takes an N=1 approach to care, meaning that each patient deserves individualistic care and a uniquely tailored care plan. Additionally, he aims to focus on addressing the root of the problem, rather than simply treating patient symptoms. Dr. Nik incorporates many different treatment approaches, such as chiropractic adjusting (diversified, drop piece and activator), soft tissue therapies (graston and manual release technique), stretching and at home exercise programs.
Dr. Nik is a Sherwood Park local. He went to the University of Alberta where he completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology degree, obtaining honours. He then moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota for three and a half years to complete his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU). Dr. Nik graduated from NWHSU with Summa Cum Laude, the highest educational distinction.
While attending NWHSU, Dr. Nik was a member of many clubs, most notably: motion palpation institute (MPI) and rehab to performance clubs. He also has attended many seminars throughout his schooling. These include Graston Technique, MPI full spine adjusting, MPI adjust-a-thon, Rehab to performance seminars, and the Professional Football Chiropractic Seminar.
Dr. Nik found a love for pickleball while attending NWHSU, becoming the President of the pickleball club. Dr. Nik grew the pickleball club into the largest and most attended club at NWHSU. He hosted numerous club events including “teachers vs students’ night” which had over 100 student and faculty attendees.
When he’s out of the office, Dr. Nik enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing pickleball and golf, weight training, reading sci-fi and fantasy novels, playing video games, watching TV shows/movies, and rooting for his favourite sports teams (Edmonton Oilers and Minnesota Vikings).

After graduated from Mount Royal Universities 2200 Hour Massage Diploma in 2021, Nicole took an immediate interest in therapeutic massage and rehabilitation. She spent the first years of practice working in a prenatal and postpartum focused environment, and expanded her training to include a speciality in prenatal massage. Dr. Kyle Smart is a chiropractor passionate about helping people move better, feel better, and achieve their personal best. He graduated with honours from Archbishop O’Leary High School, excelling in basketball and hockey, including Jr A hockey in Manitoba and varsity hockey at MacEwan University. His extensive athletic history also includes competitive swimming, volleyball, baseball, martial arts, and racquet sports. His love of sport continues today through golf (TPI Certified), weightlifting, hiking, running, cycling, and pickleball.
Dr. Kyle earned his Bachelor of Kinesiology, majoring in Sports Performance, from the University of Alberta, before pursuing his Doctorate of Chiropractic and Bachelor of Science in Human Biology at the University of Western States (UWS) in Portland, Oregon. The same university that trained both Dr. Jones and Dr. Breckenridge. While at UWS, he served as President of the Motion Palpation Club, dedicated to developing world-class chiropractic adjustors, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with the highest level of academic distinction. He has also recently completed the Titleist (TPI) Medical Level 2 course, enhancing his expertise in golf-specific movement and injury management.
Dr. Kyle’s approach combines manual chiropractic adjusting, Activator technique, soft tissue therapy, and individualized rehabilitative exercise. He focuses not just on relieving symptoms, but on identifying and addressing the root cause of each patient’s problem. Joanne Vachon
Joanne Vachon, also goes by the name Jo/Joey LaFaeye. She started her healer journey as a massage therapist. Jo found that her massage skills were limited as she could only temporarily help her clients and sought out other modes of treatments. This led her to the manual osteopathic therapy course at the MOCC in Edmonton. This course has awakened her mind to the multitude of treatment techniques. She has found the techniques to be more effective and helpful for her and to her clients. She has fallen in love with this treatment modality and is excited to continue learning, growing and enhancing her skills as a practitioner. Her goal in treatment is to treat the whole body by supporting its innate ability to heal. Finding and addressing the cause of the problem rather than just treating symptoms.
